Getting to Amsterdam

Amsterdam is in the densely urbanized western part of the Netherlands.
It has a major European airport called Schiphol, which connects to most parts of the world directly.

Some budget airlines fly on Schiphol (e.g. Easyjet), others fly on Rotterdam (e.g. Ryanair). Rotterdam is connected to Amsterdam by direct trains.
